New Chief Secretary of Delhi has been announced Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Delhi’s election officer Vijay Dev has been given the responsibility of the new Secretary of Delhi. Significantly, Dev is the officer of Arunachal, Goa and Mizoram cadre of the 1987 IAS batch. He has been appointed as an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Communications of Anshul Sharma.
After getting the approval of the Home Ministry, Additional Secretary (Union Territory) Govind Mohan issued the order in this regard on 22nd November. Dev’s appointment will be effective from the day he assumes charge of his office.
After the transfer of Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, a lot of speculation was being made about the new Chief Secretary. In the discussion about the Chief Secretary, the name was Vijay Kumar Dev’s first name. They have the experience of working in many departments of Delhi and they are identified as a very flamboyant officer.
